In November 2009, Montreal’s My People Sleeping asked us over for a light brunch and a shoot to promote their upcoming album “Feye”. Their music is beautiful, the members are old friends of ours and the results were lovely.
We shot in the Mile End area of Montreal, an area still blessed with the presence of artists who seek the freezing, low rent, dilapidated structures to create their work surrounded by the economic comforts of the depanneurs and marches. My People Sleeping were freshly tested at Pop Montreal a few weeks prior to the shoot, and came out with devotees aplenty.
